Just wanted to let you know what an impact your "How to Gain the
Ultimate Winning Edge" has had on my trading.
To be honest, the course wasn't what I expected (thought I was going
to get trading setup examples and the like) -- but it did open my eyes
to the fact that I had NOT DONE a backtest/trading sample of ANY
description in the four years I've been learning the ropes!!!
FOUR YEARS!!!
It WAS a case of having a few losing trades in a row, then ditching
the setup and on to other 'things' ... then back again, then doing
something else, then back again ...
You really did get through to me about doing the trading samples and
STICKING to it, because, otherwise, how on earth do you know how
you're doing really?
I did make my own spreadsheet after all (nothing like as fancy as
yours!! and you know I did buy one from GAT or Trading $47 -- but
that's too advanced for me!) but my spreadsheet does now show me that
EVEN AT SEVEN LOSSES and FOUR WINS, I'm AHEAD in pips/$ !!!!!!!!
Whereas previously, just seeing a string of losses written down on
paper (yes I did try the paper journal but it doesn't tally up
automatically for you) I would just put the book away in a drawer and
sigh, and give up.
I am back to enjoying trading again, knowing that there will be
losses, but I'm with you on aggressive risk management ... and my
small gains shows it (only got 11 trades of the 20 done so far in
sample 01).
So really, MANY thanks for the generosity of yourself and ForexMentor
for providing this information (yes, I know we pay for it) but if you
guys didn't provide this, well then, I would certainly have been in
more trouble than I already was. Notice I say "was" and not "am" as I
now feel that I'm FINALLY on the RIGHT TRACK, and your style of
trading suits me perfectly. Maybe because I'm a brit too?? Just
kidding.
